I last visited my own blog after 6months or so! Donno where all the time went…well, I atleast know why I was busy for the last 2-3 months…but 6 months is a long time to ignore your own blog, isn’t it? Frankly, I thought of writing a post every now and then for the past few weeks, but never found the subject…so I thought, the heck with it..who wants an object…and started off, as soon as I got time to write one. I have been going through my previous posts…and was genuinely surprised with the way I wrote, I wrote well enough for myself…So, I would want to look at this post and feel the same way even in future. Now that I am getting married next month, I will gladly look at this 2-3 years down the line, and think hey, this was the last article I wrote when I was single…

Jitters! Jitters!…Sravanthi is going to enter into an entirely new phase of life, and like every other person(guy/girl), I am damn damn scared..Needless to say, phani would keep me happy all through, but it is still scary to get into some other’s life, and hope to mould into their’s without any ups and downs..How-much-ever we talk about matching frequencies, I was always of the opinion that two people can never have similar attitudes…one person is entirely different from the other..and so are their perspectives..I cannot do much but hope we both took the right choices and get to be ourselves without needing to change each other a lot!..Life, here I come

It was quite a book. The only bad thing I can say about the book is that I could finish it off in 2 nights. The plot was set very sensitively, the love very systematically. The jokes targeted towards the South Indian and Punjabi junta was hilarious. I laughed out loud a lot of times. Ananya’s father with his hindu , Krish’s mother and her chole bathura were both exploited very cleverly and humourously. Chetan has it in him, I say.

But one thing made me sad at the end. All through the book chetan was partial towards Krish. No, really! May be it was because Krish was a reflection of himself in real life!. For instance, krish goes to the girls’ town to convince her parents and is tolerant towards her father’s attitude and says not a word (nor an expression) against them; But when this girl, ananya, goes to Delhi, she curses his mother’s behaviour a couple of times. Why should the story be planned that way? At the end of the book, I bet whoever read it must have felt a soft corner for krish, but not Ananya. Why can’t both of them be the ideal lovers? ; The ‘made for each other’ types.

So my review of the book is, it is a Karan Joharish one, fantastically written; better than all his books(yes, even 5 point someone!). But it would have felt good, for kind-hearted people(like me!), if Ananya were shown as matured and understanding as Krish was. Anyway, waiting to see them on Silver Screen…..

It’s loud and clear that the so-called fasts (with saline facilities) are being done by and for the people who have something to loose or gain out of their political career. And the disgusting thing is not one person is trying to hide their infamous intentions in involving in this melodrama. The most laughable thing happens when these people come before the media and take the common man’s name and say ‘Maa prajalaku telusu evaru vaariki nyaayam chesthaaro’ (‘Our people have always known who can do justice to them’) . Yes, we know that no one is genuinely thinking of pros and cons of telangana issue w.r.t the common man. Yes, we know 90% of the riots are being fed by ABC and XYZ parties. Yes, we know none of theses fasts last longer than two days and if they did, there has to be some personal benefit behind it (And I am not being a cynic here!). But we also know that this gyan does not matter a damn too!

Fed up of this now! Its time the centre and Sonia take the right decision; whatever it might be; and as a next step, invoke the President’ rule to shut up EVERYONE raising voices against the decision. The ministers all over AP have taken off the right to be democratic from the public. They no longer represent the mindset of the people in their region. So what’s the point of looking for a united decision from them. Its time centre puts its foot down and decides on behalf of Andhra Pradhesh!

         I determinedly did not think of the working day after the vacation until today..the last day of the four(!) heavenly days. Now all the things that I thought of doing in the vacation came hitting back to me saying ‘Hehe..and you thought you would do ‘me’?..We knew you wouldn’t even start!’ .I never understood why earth keeps running around sun at P.T.Usha’s pace on holidays and why the day becomes shorter and shorter. And the horrible part…once I go back, I get smiles from all my heads, as if asking how was the extra break? What! It was one day (shortest of the year) and it is considered as a break…it is just a comma, no a semi colon, infact . More than that my guilt of not-doing-work-on-Friday dances in full frenzy now.

         How nice were school days! We get a looong vacation every summer and a holiday for every silly occasion and there were my all-time favorite ABVP bundhs . People never used to expect anything after the vacation, except for the H2 (Holiday Homework). Now, one day off and the mailbox is flooded with 1000cm mail-rain.
Hmmm..enough of complaining! Work is not so bad (is it?). Anyways, ending with a funny note (Hey, I still have 12 hours..I get to be funny).

Recently, I went through this article that had the headline ‘Good News! India’s growing less corrupted’. Optimistic beings as we are, I went through it. And you can appreciate my disappointment when I saw the statistics. There is this survey called the Global Corruption Index, that keeps a count on the level of corruption in each country. They have a scale from 1 to 10 and the higher the scale, the lower is the corruption. And you know why this time it is good news for India? India made a ‘big’ leap from 2.7 to 2.8. In contrast to the index, India drooped from 71st position to 83rd position. What can anyone expect out of mere indexes. I reminded myself with a sigh that the indexes are just a reflection of what we do…Or am I being too blind to the justice growing around me?

I know, once you saw India’s rating you would only want to know one other country’s index..PAKISTAN!! (so human we are!!). I am coming to that. Pakistan stands 92nd with 2.5. Hey wait! Did you just feel relieved?..wait till I tell you the index of USA. It is 7.5 (18th).Phew!

Apart from the sarcasm, let us stop and think what can we do to increase the index.. (always figures convey the gist more than anything…so lets talk in figures too). And this is when I thought about it too! And guess what, I could not think of anything other than paying taxes correctly. I am not a government official, so no one would offer me a bribe, I am not a doctor, so I cannot ‘not’ charge the patient more than his blood. I am not a police official, I cannot ‘not’ leave a rapist with a phone call. With a blow of remorse, I realized that I cannot do anything to help my country crawl a bit high on the index. [:o]

One thing I can do. Vote for the right person. Ya, Okay..but that is only once in 5 years. What is Next? Do you think the same?

Also, because it’s the gloomiest and darkest of all the books, it would need some director spark to bring in some brightness. The book was perfect but to mould it as a movie, it will definitely need more filmy stuff in it. And the most exciting part would be Voldemort’s childhood and everything. It is the only child character as important as Daniel and he should be showing all the cruel and devilishness of the to-be-voldemort in his face.

The twist about Dumbledore’s came as a real shock to me when I finished reading the book. I wondered how such a big twist in the book didn’t spread before. I didn’t spread it either afterwards. There, you know how generous I am!!! And the cave part will also be worth watching in the movie. It’s a hit already anyway.

Hey, and for the Tollywood movie lovers, Oye is going to blast the box office. The date is July3rd and don’t even bother to book tickets now if you already didn’t. The web page seems to always smile wryly saying ‘No tickets available’ . I hope Sidhaarth doesn’t let us down.

Coming back to the point, now that I sit and think about it, do we really get to choose the twists and turns in our life. We definitely plan and work towards our goal, that’s there. But then as you eventually reach a significant point in your life and look back, simple things that wouldn’t have happened seem to decide our life.

You attend a marriage or go to a party and meet someone and become the best of friends for the rest of life. We forget that we might not have attended that party in the first place. It just happened. Would we give him/her a second look, if we both met at a super market? Nopes!!!

Well, this clause (‘it just happens’) seems to be only appropriate for ISHQ-VISHQ but it’s the same with the whole of life . What if you didn’t bump into that guy/girl that day at that place. Someone else might have taken the place of your life partner, as simple as that…and we say we can’t imagine existing (forget living!!) without him/her, huh?

Life is such a wonderful roller coaster,isn’t it!!! For, if it were happening as we plan, what fun would it be. Hmmmm….Now let me think, I could have been a scientist, working on the next nuclear mission. I could have been next to Sonia saying Jaya Ho Congress!. I could have been Rehman, smiling widely at the Oscar. I could have been a tribal in the jungles of Peru. I could have been chameleon thinking what color should I be trying out next. OMG! This is getting bad. I stop it.

If this has confused you enough, then I am happy. Something went as it had been planned.

Well before I go further ahead, Microsoft has been a marvelous innovator all the time…But since, Windows (even though most of it is from Mac OS;) ) has all these update patches coming up..its fine and justified for the aging software of the OS, to give frustrating popups once in a while (just five in 5 mins!!)..Scroll through for some funny popups which are modified slightly ..

And we are not trying to either…:D
